Artist Development Residency

Connecting the Dots in Music is excited to announce a 2 day artist residency in January of 2023. Musicians and artists are invited to spend two days immersing themselves in world-class creative music-making, sharing, collaborating and learning in the idyllic surroundings of UKARIA Cultural Centre. We will be joined by international and local presenters, artists and industry leaders to explore and expand the field of teaching artistry in South Australia.

Location: UKARIA Cultural Centre

Dates: 18 and 19th of January 2023

Times: 10am-4pm daily

Fee: $25 unsalaried, $50 salaried

Applications are now open and will close December 10th 2022.

Presenters will include Eric Booth, (NY, teaching artist) Julian Ferraretto, (SA, jazz violinist, workshop leader) Tom Cabaniss, (NY, Lullaby Project, NY) Libby Druce (SA, Mental health nurse/community musician), with many more local, interstate and international practitioners to be announced!

This residency is open to artists at all stages of their careers, from emerging to established. Within the residency, opportunities will be provided for mentorship, training to work on a Connecting the Dots in Music project such as Lullaby Project Australia or Music For All, as well as workshopping sessions to develop new projects and collaborations across community, health and educational settings.
